Refund and Cancellation Policy
We try very hard to provide the very best service and very best products for our customers. We hope that you will love your chicken coop from the moment it arrives. If there are issues with your chicken coop and we can help, we will do our best to make it right.
Custom Coops – Order Cancellation and Refund
Once you place your order and payment is made, it goes to scheduling almost immediately. For custom coops/runs, we schedule building your coop/run, order any supplies needed and put your coop/run in for delivery scheduling. Changes to your order can usually be accommodated for at least 48 hours after your order is submitted, sometimes longer. If for some reason you need to cancel your order, it needs to be done within 48 hours from the time your order is placed. Because our coops/runs are custom we cannot cancel orders after 48 hours without a re-stocking fee. Your coop/run is likely built or in the process of being built. We will then need to have photos taken and put the coop/run on the website to re-sell it. If you simply must cancel your order, we must charge you a restocking fee of $500.
At delivery, if something is wrong with your coop/run, we will work with you to make it right. If your coop/run is delivered and something isn’t right, please do not put your chickens in it. If we need to bring the coop back it is important that no animals have been in it.
Custom coops/runs are generally non-returnable unless there is a mistake on our part, however, all customers must approve their order so fortunately, mistakes are unlikely. Once animals have been inside a coop/run, we cannot take it back.
If a coop/run must be returned and the order meets the specifications that the customer approved, the customer will be responsible for all transportation costs. If Lancaster Chicken Coops made a mistake, we will cover transportation costs.
In-Stock Coops – Order Cancellation and Refund
For an in-stock coop order, if you find that you need to cancel your order, we are happy to cancel your order and put the refund through immediately when you contact us within 48 hours of placing your order. Because of the logistics involved in scheduling deliveries, it is usually not possible to cancel an order any later than 48 hours after placing it.
In-stock coops can be returned however, the customer is responsible for all delivery and transportation fees. Once a coop is returned undamaged, a full refund of the purchase price of the coop will be processed back to the customer.
